We are very proud to to have acted as lead counsel to Evertrue Capital which announced last week the launch of its $17m oversubscribed debut fund.
Founded by Yvonne Bajela (ex-LocalGlobe and X Capital Partners), Evertrue Capital is a pre-seed fund which will be primarily investing in AI-led and fintech companies across the UK, US and Europe.
The fund is the first fund to announce from the British Business Bank's Microfunds pillar of its new £400m Investor Pathways Capital initiative. The BBB committed £7.6m to Yvonne's fund.
Other LPs backing Yvonne include Basecamp, Better Society Capital and Bootstrap 4F.
In Yvonne's words:
"After more than a decade backing founders who bet everything on their ideas, it felt like time to make a bet of my own...I wanted the independence to act on those convictions and build something that reflected my own approach to investing."
Liz Bailey, Director of Development Equity Funds at the BBB commented that:
"Yvonne has built a strong reputation as an investor, backing a number of successful, high-growth businesses and developing deep networks across the venture ecosystem. Her experience, combined with Evertrue Capital's focus on identifying high-potential founders at the earliest stages, positions the fund well to support the next generation of innovative businesses in the UK and Europe."
The Blears team was led by Ollie Blears, with support from senior associates Hannah Maddin-Cordwell and associate George Jones.
