RW Blears advises Arãya Sie Fund on £7.5M first close to back the next generation of women-led startups across the UK and Europe.

We are proud to have supported Arãya Sie Fund on their £7.5M first close to back female founders operating in AI, deeptech, fintech, healthcare and sustainability. The Fund will direct 70% of its capital at UK-based companies and 30% across Europe.

The Fund is a joint venture between Rupa Popat of Arãya Ventures and Triin Linamagi of Sie Ventures, addressing the persistent sub-2% share of VC funding reaching women-led startups. As Trinn Linamgi says, ‘this partnership is about more than capital, it’s about bringing the right networks, conviction and long-term support to founders who have been historically overlooked.’

The Fund has a notable LP base of more than 50% women, with backing from the British Business Bank as well as executives from LinkedIn, McKinsey, JPMorgan and Google. The first portfolio investment is Lemrock AI, a startup building agentic infrastructure for brand commerce.

The Blears team was led by Ollie Blears, with support from Bethany Johnson.
